About Julia Ulrich

I grew up in a small village in the German Spessart, a range of low wooded mountains in Bavaria.
So you can imagine, my childhood was very peacefully and charming.

Pretty soon I noticed, I had to break out of this quiet life and discover the world. The only picture I had from outside my region so far was influenced by movies and dokumentaries on television.

My head was full of imagination and a perfect way to express myself was through painting. I started travelling around half of the world and that ispired me so much that I went to study at the Art-Univerity in Frankfurt and gratuated after 3 1/2 years. Since then I chased myself in the paintings until I finally found my statement.
Who we are, is not about where we come from! It's about how we express ourself, about what we believe and about the desicions we make!

I love painting portraits. Especially moviecharacters and filmscenes.
Every movie has a message and I love finding the scene which delivers that message to me.
